how many lightbulbs can you splice from a single ceiling fixture if trying to make a chandelier?
I want to make a chandelier with 10-20 bulbs. How do I splice the three wires coming out of the ceiling to do this? How many bulbs can I put on a single lighting fixture/chandelier?
Be very careful.
Electrical fixtures are designed to handle the heat of
the lamps installed.
You don’t have the expertise.
The wire insulation can only resist a certain
temperature, beyond which it fails.
You have to consider lamp size, air flow, and
thermal rating of the wire.
There is a reason that you don’t see too many
small 20 lamp chandeliers.
